A thousand people interested in online broadcasting converged in the New Yorker hotel today to learn how, why, and what's coming in the podcasting world.

It was like a typical conference, except there were no conference registration fees. That's right, Podcamp NYC was free.

Which made the biggest question of every session that much more glaring:

How does a podcaster make enough money that they only have to podcast and not have a second (or third) job?
